Your What If’s Can Make You Sink or Swim

What would the world be like today if the Wright brothers never asked themselves, “What if people could fly?”
Children seem to naturally be able to imagine creative and wild WHAT IF scenarios. While adults sadly seem to migrate towards the negative side of WHAT IF and think about things like, WHAT IF I quit my job to start a business and it fails?
Don’t get me wrong, you need to have backup plans, but if you are constantly worried about the worst WHAT IF situations you’re asking for them to come true. Thoughts really are things. How are you using your WHAT IF thoughts? Are they helping you dream up new ways of living life to the fullest? Or are they preventing you from living life at all?
This is something I’ve been thinking about a lot in the last few months as I’ve been working on a big project many years in the making. The project scares the crap out of me and excites me at the same time. I have to make a conscious decision of which emotion I’m going to let rule my thoughts, so I made the picture above to help remind me.
I hope it helps you too!
